Newpong Receives KMFDS Approval for Its Curved-Cartridge HIFU Device, LINCURVE PRO

Newpong, a specialist in ultrasound medical devices, announced on June 4 that it has obtained approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (KMFDS) for LINCURVE PRO, its high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) device featuring a curved cartridge. With this breakthrough innovation, the company aims to overcome the limitations of conventional flat-type HIFU systems, enabling more precise and safer lifting treatments.
◼︎Overcoming HIFU Limitations with a Curved Cartridge
HIFU is a non-invasive treatment that delivers ultrasound energy deep into the skin to stimulate collagen regeneration and achieve lifting effects. However, most existing HIFU cartridges are flat, which results in poor contact with facial curves and often requires pressing the device firmly against the skin—limiting energy precision and risking discomfort.
LINCURVE PRO, developed by Newpong, is the first HIFU device in the world to adopt a curved cartridge utilizing the company’s patented Concave Technology. This innovation allows the ultrasound focus to move horizontally while vertically following the curve of the face. It forms a consistent thermal coagulation point (TCP) at a uniform depth along the skin surface—delivering optimal energy without the need for excessive pressure.

LINCURVE PRO offers customized cartridges tailored to different treatment areas and objectives. This helps minimize adverse effects such as volume loss in the cheeks—one of the common drawbacks of traditional HIFU—while allowing more effective treatment of complex curved regions such as the forehead and jawline. By naturally adhering to the skin without excessive force, the device also reduces pain during the procedure and improves patient satisfaction.
