Newpong's LSSA Receives U.S. FDA 510(k) Clearance, Validating Ultrasound Technology on the Global Stage

 FDA 510(k) cleared LSSA (NP-200): A milestone for Newpong’s minimally invasive ultrasonic liposuction system


Newpong has announced FDA 510(k) clearance (K252495) for its minimally invasive ultrasonic liposuction device, LSSA (NP-200), marking international recognition of the company's accumulated expertise in ultrasound technology. 

LSSA is designed around an ultra-thin probe system ranging from 0.9mm to 3.7mm in diameter — all supported within a single device platform. The 0.9mm probe enables access to anatomically precise areas that conventional devices cannot reliably reach, including the submental region (double chin), accessory breast tissue, and the calves. This probe range allows the system to address procedures ranging from fine, localized treatment to high-volume fat removal within a single system. 

The device's core technology is the Deep Sono Algorithm, developed independently by Newpong. The algorithm detects resonant frequency in real time during a procedure and maintains consistent output regardless of changes in tissue characteristics. This ensures uniform energy delivery even as fat tissue density and moisture content shift during treatment — directly improving both procedural safety and reproducibility of outcomes. 

With this FDA clearance, LSSA now holds regulatory approval in two major global markets, having previously obtained ANVISA certification in Brazil. The clinical foundation is also being strengthened on the international stage: Brazilian plastic surgery specialist Dr. Osvaldo Saldanha has recently joined as LSSA's global key doctor, adding clinical credibility and a high-profile international reference.
